Reports Assessment of UN Research Needs This publication examines the research provision and utilisation by international policy makers and involved extensive interviews with UN and international policy people in Geneva and New York and offers a summary of its key findings. Past Imperfect: Dealing with the Past in Northern Ireland and Societies in Transition This publication brings together the papers presented at the 'Dealing with the Past: Reconciliation Processes and Peace Building' Conference and draws on the ideas of the participants to further the debate about dealing with, or perhaps not dealing with, the past in Northern Ireland. Peacekeeping Series Publications This project in co-operation with partners from the University of Limerick and the Austrian Center for Peace and Conflict Resolution examined the Training and Preparation of Military and Civilian Peacekeepers. It reported in 1996. Cost of the Troubles Study Publications This study aims to provide reliable, non sensationalist and ethically collected data on individual experiences of the troubles. The study will also explore the relationship between troubles-related difficulties and deprivation, and this part of the study will have implications for a broad range of policy areas, including all of those agencies currently who are involved in using frameworks to target social needs.
